New Stock!

This week I've been busily preparing new stock for the market. which is on next Sunday 3rd May.

I've tried a couple of new designs which I'm really quite happy with. I still have a few more items to make (lucite necklaces and hairclips and more bookmarks) but I more or less have everything ready.

I've been neglecting my Etsy store over the past couple of weeks but will restock once the market is done and dusted.

The Sound of Thursday

I came across this on Penni's blog the other day. Thought I'd revisit it now to bring another smile into my Thursday arvo.

My Folk Lover

MyFolkLover currently has a half price sale in her Etsy shop.
I adore her work and my finger is currently hovering around the "add to cart" button on this one.

Sculpture Trail

Today we did the annual sculpture trail at Fleurty's down at Birchs Bay.
It is such a gorgeous property and there were some really interesting exhibits.

We stopped at the Margate train for delicious pancakes on the way home.

Treasury

I just found one of my bracelets in this gorgeous Etsy treasury.

(For those not familiar with Etsy the treasury will expire after 3 days)

the market.

I've been offered a stall at the market. which is a wonderful new monthly art/design/craft market.

It is on Sunday 3rd May.

Totally looking forward to it but had better start working on some new pieces...

Patricia Piccinini: Evolution exhibition

I finally got to the exhibition this morning and was absolutely blown away.
Her work is so life-like, so surreal, vile and incredibly amazing.

Here is a snippet about Patricia Piccinini:
"Acclaimed international artist, Patricia Piccinini takes us on an incredible evolutionary journey to encounter the possible flora and fauna of our future world.

Patricia Piccinini has received worldwide attention for her startling sculptures, digital environments and images that compel us to consider an ecology and biology that blend species in the frontier world of experimental technological and biological environments. Piccinini’s works take us to a post-Darwinian destination populated with fantastical creatures, new communities and bio-ethical conundrums. "

More info about the exhibition can be located here.

(Children in the photos are sculptures too!)

Bat For Lashes - Two Suns
Amanda Palmer - Who Killed Amanda Palmer
Howling Bells - Radio Wars
Kate Miller-Heidke - Curiouser

The Armada

I love my new branches from Etsy seller janejoss!
Their shop is here

I'm in!

I think I'm actually going to start using this blog space!
I'm not so sure what the main purpose shall be and I imagine it will be a bit hickledy pickledy until I actually work out how to use this contraption.

First of all I'll leave details of my Etsy store.
