I try and donate some of my profits from my little jewellery business to
Kiva.
"Kiva lets you lend to a specific entrepreneur, empowering them to lift themselves out of poverty".
My jewellery making is really just a little hobby. It enables me to get a little creative and by selling my wares I get a bit of 'pocket money' and positive feedback. There are so many people out there in the world struggling to earn a living and I think Kiva is a fantastic organisation which helps these people set up a business to help themselves and families survive.
Today I donated money to Augustina.
"Augustina is thirty-nine years old. She is divorced and has given birth to one child. She lives with her son in a rented apartment in a town called Dormaa in the Brong Ahafo Region of Ghana. Dormaa is a commercial and farming town. Augustina is a baker. She bakes bread and supplies to other retailers and beverage sellers in her community. She buys bags of flour and other ingredients from Kumasi. Augustina hawks to sell in her community to sell. She has been in business for four years and wants a loan to buy goods in bulk to expand her business."

Good luck Augustina!
