New Stockist - Cocoon

I have a great new stockist - Cocoon in Launceston. I've not yet had a chance to visit the store but have heard that it's totally fabulous.

Here is a lovely recent feature on the Finders Keepers website.

This fortnight at "Under the Shade of a Bonsai Tree"

Doing:

Huz came back laden with presents - he seemed to have had a super fun and ation packed "work trip" to the U.S.
Huz's birthday - we went out for dinner. I also baked him 3 cakes for him to take into work.
I've been busy listing my jewellery in my Etsy store, setting up my MadeIt store and making loads more items.
Our deck is nearly finished and we used it for the first time on the weekend and had a bbq on it.

Cooking: Mini Yorkshire Puddings, German Cherry Hazlenut Chocolate Torte, Maple Pecan Cake and Almond and Apple Cake.

Watching: Alice in Wonderland, Last Days, Borat, Shutter Island, Mao's Last Dancer

Reading: Ghostly Tales of Tasmania by Buck and Joan Emberg and Brida by Paolo Coelho

Listening to: Angus and Julia Stone - Down the Way

New Store!

I have finally set up a store on Made It.

I'm selling only the lucite resin floral range there but it's a site which may appeal more to Aussies as pricess are all in AU$.

Latest Photo Shoot

These items are all available on Etsy and MadeIt.

These photos were taken by my talented brother Luke and the model is his gorgeous girlfriend Erica. Thrilled once again with these!

My "ME" room!

This room has just recently been converted into a little cosy space where I can spend my time making jewellery or time on the laptop. It used to be what we called a "utility room" - a room with a fridge, electric drier, toys and loads of junk. We've managed to store everything elsewhere and I've transformed that horrid place into a lovely spot filled with things that make me happy and inspire my creativity.

Ta da!

So many of the things that you can see are purchases from Etsy and if you go through old posts you will be able to see the stores I bought from. I do plan to eventually frame the prints. It seems a shame to have them stuck up like that.

One of my favourite things in the room is a rug under the table which is actually an awesome vintage orange floral bedspread with a fluffy white rim. You can't quite see it in the photos.

And here is a little visitor this evening - Austin.

This week at "Under the Shade of a Bonsai Tree"

What a week!

Doing:

This time last week I was at Soundwave in Melbourne with my husband and a few friends. It was a typically hot Melbourne Summer's day but there were more shady places to take refuge than at the Falls Festival. I didn't do it too hard but just saved myself for the bands I especially love. I watched Eagles of Death Metal, Placebo and my 2 super uber faves Janes Addiction and Faith No More. I've seen Faith No More before but had never seen Janes Addiction before - I nearly cried when Perry Farrell came out on stage! Both groups are still as amazing as ever. Woah!

It was a nice little child free weekend. My hubby flew on to the U.S for a conference which is where he'll be until next week. We had big cafe brekkies 2x, I visited my grandmother and met up with the friends for a wander along Brunswick St and lunch at the Vegie Bar.

So I've had a pretty hectic week - managing the kids and household alone. My bros and their girlfriends came over one night with Indian takeaways.

I've been a bit busy with my jewellery - getting a few things ready for another photoshoot, more stock for Roses Cupboard, a few things soon to be listed at Etsy and an order for Cocoon (a new stockist).

Today I went to see a good friend's (Kaye Green) wonderful art exhibition at the Side Space Gallery. Lots of amazing pieces of work.

Also in the last week or so I've been to Morilla for lunch (yummm to the max), Bongorong Wildlife Park and a fab theatre production of Dracula.

Reading: Haven't finished Jigs and Reels yet but "found" a book called "Brida" by Paolo Coelho which I'll start this weekend.

Listening to: Faith No More, Janes Addiction

Cooking: egg and bacon pies and currently have 2 banana cakes in the oven

Buying: Buried by Kim Herbst (Another picture for my "ME" room) I love origami cranes; green is my favourite colour and I have red hair - perfect :o)
