This week at "Under the Shade of a Bonsai Tree"

Doing: This week I've been busy with jewellery related things. On Monday night I raised $220 for the Malighat School and Orphanage in India at a Body Shop & Under the Shade of a Bonsai Tree party which my brother's girlfriend organised. It was a bit of fun and I'm glad to be able to contribute. I'm still donating profits from sales from my madeit store and etsy store this week if you'd like to help out. I've also made and delivered stock to Nest (in Penguin), Inside - Home & Gifts (Hobart) and Onabee (Melbourne). Now I'm preparing for my stall at Salamanca Market on Saturday.

Listening to: Nick Cave, Jonsi, Angus & Julia Stone, Amanda Palmer

Watching: The Ghost Writer

Cooking: Upside-down Cherry Cake

Reading: The Girl who Kicked the Hornet's Nest by Stieg Larsson

Buying: Guitar Brooch from Made By White

Onabee

I have a wonderful new stockist - "Onabee" in Kensington, Melbourne.

The Malighat School and Orphanage fundraiser

On Monday night I'm going to a "Body Shop and Under the Shade of a Bonsai Tree party". My brother's amazing girlfriend (pictured above with the children) is organising it and all profits made will be donated towards the Malighat School and Orphanage in India which she does regular fundraising for. The orphanage was set up by a Tasmanian woman and the continual existence of it relies on regular donations and fundraising.

For the next week I am donating profits from my online sales to the important cause too.

A wee break in Melbourne

Last week I spent 5 nights in Melbourne where I caught up with loads of friends and family, wined and dined, did a bit of shopping, went to the amazing Tim Burton exhibition and 2 wonderful concerts - Florence and the Machine and Jonsi.

August Photo Shoot

I've just been in Melbourne (I had a wonderful time but will eventually post separately about that later) and whilst I was away my lovely talented brother took some photos of my jewellery. I've now been able to list more items in my shop. (There are still a couple of items I'm yet to list but will hopefully get them in my shop soon). I'm so pleased with the photographs - aren't they stunning?
